Plaka - Chania
Plaka is a traditional village of Chania Prefecture, located in a distance of 23 km from the city of Chania. It is built above Almyrida beach, in an altitude of about 70m, while it has about 300 permanent residents. The famous movie "Zorbas", based on Nikos Kazantzakis book, was filmed in the area.
