Souda - Chania
The new port of the city of Chania, is located at Souda, 7 km from the centre of the city on its south-east. Souda is a largest natural bay of the Mediterranean sea. There a small island in the entrance of the bay, which has a Venetian fortress on it, built at 1560. The ancient city Aptera flourished in Souda area.
